1. EPICS plans
PLCs: Hall B will use Allen Bradley CompactLogix for reasonable redundency, ControlLogix for higher requirements (magnets etc); micromega will have its own solution they will support
clonioc's net fix
Needed IOCs:
- NEW CAEN HV - exist
- OLD CAEN HV - exist
- MPOD - exist, having problem with memory leak, will investigate
- Motors - exist for old CLAS motors and new HPS motor
- DAQ boards scalers/histograms/... - EPICS presents scalers as waveform (or array) anyway, will use it for both scalers and histograms; server in every crate will be run;
- SVT adcs iocs (v450 etc) - Peter with our support
- LED flusher (HPS ECAL, FT calibration) - Glasgo
- DCLV control with new GPIB devices - almost works, will by prologic controllers
- move old EPICS iocs to new EPICS base or replace (PS, moller quads, moller helmholz and minitorus magnets, 60Hz scalers, assymmetry (polar crate area), gaussmeter, scalers for faradey cup, tagger magnet for beam commissioning by MSS - for HPS; for CLAS12 - cryotarget) - Hovanes will make more detailed list
Translation tables and DB generation process:
Nerses describer his implementation of mapping and DB generation in Hall D, based on mysql; Ken will work on scheme for Hall B
Archiving
As soon as we have logical channel names, will send request to mya group
GUIs and Alarms
- for now will use MEDM and ALH, will reconsider later
