  • polar: it was found that interrupts in helicity recording at high event rate were related to the lack of CPU speed; mv2432 CPU was replaced with mv5100/prpmc880 and new VME crate with remote power recycling was installed. Maximum event rate which allows to avoid helicity gaps was increased from 3kHz to 7kHz; mv6100 can be installed if necessary to increase performance even more
  • GE VME controllers: 2 were installed in tage and tage2, running from 10kHz pulser for about week without single problem; working on CODA software to clean it up; procedure for the new controllers initial setup was documented here; Sergey P. fixed 'roc_xterms_start' script
  • dsc2: Sergey P. is working on merging his and Moffit's libraries and testing hardware, so far everything works as expected; DMA test to be conducted; Sergey B. made a UNIX version of tcpServer, unix_execute (analog vxWorks's execute command) can call a functions without arguments, more development will be done to provide the same functionality as on vxWorks; we need it to change parameters remotely (thresholds etc) in crates with Linux VME controllers
  • HV testing: new patch panels testing underway, multi-pin connectors looks good if glued (which is current procedure); Lecroy HV testing as usual; new CAEN A1535 testing almost finished, need to be labeled and inserted into database
