During last month several hardware failures were observed:
- PMC broke in tage3 and sc2 - replaced, will be tested in test setup - 4 timing discriminators 2313 in CC broke after accidental power recycle - replaced; removed boards were tested in test setup and appeares to be fine; more tests will be performed - wrong signal polarity was discovered on output from new trigger - swapped cable installed (fortunately data were fine, but it maybe desasterous error !) - power supply broke in croctest10 - replaced, sent to repair to WIENER
Also old NIM bin send to repair to ORTEC
Software problems:
- ROCs crashes, EB have to be restarted every time after ROC crashed; it is still unclear why ROCs are crashing occasionally, it can be different reasons; internal monitoring was developed to debug several software loops inside ROC and PMC, it will be activated in an attempt to get more detailed information; EB should be able to recover on 'reset' transition;
- preshower setup problem: slow download, prestart etc; change CPU did not help. jlab IP address did not help, will study
- low network speed in pmc880 and pmc280, while 2800 is good - another device; will study at summer - DB still to be finished: polar area and tagger area (nim-fastbus) remains
