Sun Ultra 20 M2 requires NVIDIA drivers to be istalled for FX560 videocards. Installation disk arrived along with the machine, it was version 1.4. I downloaded recent (at September 2007) version 1.6A. To install, cd to that disk (or mounted disk image) and follow instructions in README file. IF ''up2date'' WAS RUN, DRIVERS MAY DISAPPEAR, AND MUST BE REINSTALLED. X configuration procedure can be found in [[X servers]]. | |||

Sun Ultra 20 M2 workstation with dual-core Opteron 1214 2.2GHz, 2GB memory and 2 FX560 videocards, s/n: 0735FMD01C, f/n: F423466.
NOTE: old clon04 was Sparc-based Ultra 2, it was replaced in September 2007. Old machine's s/n: 739FCA4E, f/n: F413605. That machine is in reserve now, it can be used in case of emergency.
