Alarm Server receives the error messages sent mostly by error_msg program, for example to set level2 problem alarm type following:
error_msg l2_check clonalarm l2_check trigger 2 ERROR 1 \"Level 2 problem\"
and to clear that alarm type following:
error_msg l2_check clonalarm l2_check trigger 0 INFO 1 \"Level 2 Ok\"
where:
l2_check - sender program name (twice ?) clonalarm - mandatory keyword to distinguish alarm message trigger - alarm subsystem name (trigger, online, etc) in database table 'clonalarm' 2 ERROR - to report error message 0 INFO - to erase error message 1 - alarm_id in database table 'clonalarm'
To create new alarm update clonalarm database (and clonalarm_help as well, but it is a mess ..).
