Sun Ultra 20 M2 requires NVIDIA drivers to be istalled for FX560 videocards. Installation disk arrived along with the machine, it was version 1.4. Installations notes:

Sun Ultra 20 M2 requires NVIDIA drivers to be istalled for FX560 videocards. Installation disk arrived along with the machine, it was version 1.4. I downloaded recent (at September 2007) version 1.6A. To install, cd to that disk (or mounted disk image) and follow instructions in README file.

I copied image to /root, mounted by

mkdir /mnt/isoimage
mount -o loop -t iso9660 /root/tools_drivers_1_6a1.iso /mnt/isoimage

and ran drivers/linux/red_hat/install.sh. X configuration procedure can be found in page X server.

NOTE: IF up2date WAS RUN, DRIVERS WILL DISAPPEAR, AND MUST BE REINSTALLED. X configuration should survive.
