The UEL 4020 LX series is a micro processor based fan tray and control unit with alphanumeric display for WIENER VME crates. They are built in different sizes (160mm to 600mm deepness) to fit to the used VME board deepness. Long life noise-reduced axial DC-fans which are mounted on ball bearings are used (see table below). Each fan is induvidually controlled.

The LED-alphanumeric display monitors output power, voltages, currents, temperatures, fanspeed and optional network parameters (addresses, speed). It works as a diagnostic system / trouble shooter in case of illegal conditions or crate failures. The ADC resolution is 10 bit. Value selection by push button operation or via interface. The SYS-reset button is protected located.
Air inlet from bottom side for full cooling efficiency. For laboratory use units with frontpanel inlet gap are available.
The fanspeed is adjustable by a push button in steps or by netware like CAENET serial link, IEC-interface, CAN-bus. Variation of voltage and current limits (and as a result: power limiting) by using a two switch algorithm at frontpanel. In case of using a netware-configuration all controls and informations will be transmitted. Available interfaces:
