Overview
The NI GPIB-ENET/100 Ethernet-to-GPIB controller and NI-488.2 take advantage of network connectivity in instrument control applications. Using the RoHS-compliant GPIB-ENET/100, networked computers can communicate with and control IEEE 488 devices from anywhere on an Ethernet-based (LAN) TCP/IP network. You can use the GPIB-ENET/100 to share a single GPIB system among many networked users or to control several test systems from a single networked host computer. It is shipped with NI-488.2 for Windows Vista (32- and 64-bit)/XP/2000, but you can also purchase it with NI-488.2 for Solaris, HP-UX, and Digital UNIX. Versions of NI-488.2 for Windows Me/9x/NT OSs, Linux® OS, Mac OS X, and Mac OS Classic are also available for download (search Drivers and Updates) or by contacting your local National Instruments office.
