In the previous lesson, the receiving programs read messages using TipcSrvMsgNext to read the next message in a program’s incoming message queue, and then operated on the message. To make full use of TIBCO SmartSockets and its object-oriented features, it is important that you learn what callbacks are and how to use them. Before starting to write some sample programs, the initial part of this lesson introduces callbacks.
